Description
Cosmo Japan AD5188 cotton and linen blend fabric - indigo blue. This beautiful fabric is 85% cotton and 15% linen. The addition of the linen fibers gives it a wonderful substantial feeling and texture. It is perfect for quilting, clothing, sashiko, accessories and other home decor. This fabric is a medium weight with a stiff drape that becomes more fluid and soft after washing. It has little to no sheen and a wonderful texture.
The fabric can be machine washed and dried. I recommend washing on delicate (or by hand) and removing from dryer before it is fully dry to give it an ironing. Place a cloth between the iron and fabric to prevent burnishing. The fabric will shrink a bit and become softer and denser after washing. If you like your sashiko projects to be a little "cushiony" and "crinkly" with lots of texture then wash the fabric after your sashiko is complete. The shrinkage will give the project even more texture.
